CV
Hi, I’m Gabriella Sosnowski—a dedicated language educator with over a decade of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in both international and U.S. university settings. Currently, I’m pursuing my graduate studies in Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where I also teach in the English Language Institute.
In 2020, I earned my CELTA certification and founded Yes&English to provide online English lessons for expats in the U.S. This venture has allowed me to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and better understand the challenges they face. My teaching philosophy draws from these experiences and combines research-backed methods with practical, engaging approaches—like incorporating improvisation into language learning.
This website is my space to share resources, ideas, and insights into second language acquisition, with a special focus on using improv as a tool for confidence, fluency, and creativity in the classroom. Whether you're an educator or a language enthusiast, I hope you’ll find inspiration and practical strategies here!
